HIRU TV WILL OFFICIALLY LAUNCH ON MAY 3RD

Duminda’s brother Reynor’s TV channel will be launched within the next three weeks

It is reported that the new Hiru TV channel will be launched on the 03rd of May. It will be the next competitive TV channel which will be launched within another 3 weeks. It is reported that Hiru TV is ready to compete with the Sirasa TV and Derana TV. Reynor Silva, the brother of Duminda Silva is the owner of ABC Media Corporation and the owner of Hiru FM who intends launching Hiru TV.
The ABC Corporation is a media organization run by Reynold Silva, the brother of the Member of Parliament Duminda Silva and it is said that the ABC Media Corporation is a family business which underwent a lot of changes due to Member of Parliament, Duminda Silva’s political career.
Hiru FM was banned during the time when Duminda Silva was a member of the UNP. Hiru FM became a challenge to the government in 2007. In a short while after Duminda Silva joined the Government the ban was lifted. After that Hiru FM worked as a media that supports the activities of the Government.
The dreams of Reynold Silva to launch a TV channel after his FM radio channel which worked for over 13 years became a success with the support of the Government and it is going to be a reality on the 3rd of May. 
Reynor Silva got the support of the Government in getting a frequency and in finding a suitable place for a building. At the moment the experiments are carried out in 10 different places and the UHF frequencies are as below:

The technical support for the telecasting has been got from Germany expertise and it is reported that there are two other places apart from the main office at the World Trade Centre. It is reported that there are 5 studios with the latest digital technology.
It is also reported that Hiru TV is to launch soon with the influence of the latest Indian commercial channels to suit Sri Lanka audience.
