Sehwag yesterday broke the highest individual score by any batsmen in the annals of ODI cricket history. Captaining the Indian side in the absence of Dhoni and opening with Gambhir scored 219 runs in 149 balls including 25 fours and 7 sixes. This was only the second double century in the history of ODI cricket beating the unbeaten score of 200 made by Sachin Tendulkar against South Africa in the year 2010.

India made a total of 418 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. For the West Indies this total was too formidable and they were all out for 265 runs.
