David Whatmore is tipped to be Pakistan’s Head coach
According to reliable international media reports David Whatmore, who was chiefly responsible in coaching the wining Sri Lankan team to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 1996 is to be appointed the Head coach of Pakistani cricket team.
It is to be confirmed at the conclusion of the Pakistan Vs Bangladesh Test and ODI series which is now in progress. After the Sri Lankan triumph in the 1996 World Cup Whatmore had coached the Bangladeshi cricket team. As there was not much progress and success he had since worked for the Indian cricket Academy
In the coming month of January 2012 Pakistan is scheduled to play England in Test and an ODI series in the United Arabic Emirates. It has been proposed to make Whatmore’s change and a few other changes before the commencement of this tour.
