Welikada OIC arrested for making fake passports for Chinese and hiding.

The OIC of Welikada Police Station has been arrested in connection with the illegal preparation and possession of passports belonging to 19 Chinese nationals. Police stated that a team of officers from the Central Criminal Investigation Department made the arrest.

The suspect OIC was taken into custody by officers of the Central Criminal Investigation Department while he was staying in the Veyangoda area. He has been accused of fraudulently possessing and preparing passports belonging to a group of foreigners.

Following this arrest, further investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Central Criminal Investigation Department.
