Investigations into the Nanuoya school teacher who assaulted a female student in the classroom, causing her to urinate

Nanuoya Police state that a student who fell ill due to an inhumane assault by a teacher on a female student studying at a well-known school in Nanuoya town, which belongs to the Nuwara Eliya Education Zone, has received treatment from the Nanuoya Divisional Hospital and has been discharged.




A female student studying in the 8th grade of that school was severely beaten by the teacher, and it is reported that the assault was so severe that due to the extreme pain and shock, the student involuntarily urinated.

The teacher involved in the incident verbally abused the student's parents using very obscene language, then severely hit her cheeks and ear area, and subsequently held the student's head down on a table and hit her back area with his elbow.




Deeply frightened and in pain from this assault, the student remained in the classroom with the discomfort and soiled uniform until school ended and then went home. When her parents questioned their daughter upon her arrival home, she revealed the abuse she had suffered and showed them the bruises and internal injuries on her body.

The parents immediately acted on the incident, taking steps to hospitalize the student and file a police complaint. Police investigations have revealed that the teacher in question had previously subjected students at the school to inhumane beatings, and on one occasion, had beaten a student with a broom.



According to this complaint, the suspect teacher is scheduled to be summoned for police investigations, and Nanuoya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
