Arpico Kohuwala catches fire (video)

A sudden fire broke out this afternoon (08th) at the Arpico Supermarket located in the Kohuwala area. This supermarket has two entrance gates, one on the road running from Kohuwala Junction towards Kalubowila and the other on the Kohuwala-Colombo (120) road. The fire originated near the entrance gate on the 120 road.

The lower floor of the supermarket sells consumer goods, and the upper floor sells furniture. It was reported that firefighters and local residents were making a strong effort to control the fire. It is reported that three fire trucks have been deployed to extinguish the fire, and the cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
