Signs that former Pakistan cricketer Imran Khan is to clinch a definite victory at Pakistan's general elections and as such he is expected to be chosen as the prime minister of Pakistan. 

Imran Khan who was an active cricketer in the 1980 to 90 decade was instrumental in claiming the World Cup for Pakistan in 1992 in the position of captain of the team. He entered into politics, but became an unsuccessful character in the initial stages. However he later became a politician by
highlighting shortcomings of the ruling party and winning the hearts of the public. 

He contested at the general elections this time from the Tehreek-e-Insaf party which he had launched. Already the results are in progress and the total results would be announced today 26th around 12 in the night. By now his party has clearly gained victory and is well ahead and this party has acquired a majority of 119 seats of the total number of 272 seats, it is reported and thus is able to come into power. Imran Khan has addressed the public from his home this evening at about 5.30 and expressed his joy and gratitude.
