Usain Bolt completes his athletic career ... by finishing third!
The 2017 World Championship Athletic Event held in London, England yesterday for males recorded the final 100 metres event for Usain Bolt the invincible Olympic champion. However he ended up being the third, thus being defeated by America's Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman.
Many people began to speak about this incident because Bolt has in recent times not faced a defeat of
this nature. He bowed down to Justin Gatlin who beat him and wished him and also greeted the second winner.
Gatlin finished this race timing 9.92 seconds while Coleman who finished second had a timing of 9.94 and Bolt finishing the event with 9.95 thus coming third. Reports have been published that since this was Bolt's final 100 metres contest in his sporting-life, he had been plagued with nervousness and had prior to the race even made fun at his rival Gatlin by hooting at him and was of an unbalanced mind and it is presumed that these factors contributed to this result.
30 year old Usain Bolt clinched gold medals in 100, 200 and 100m. x 4 relays at Olympic events continuously in 2008, 2012 and 2016 and claimed 9 gold medals, thus being the first to achieve such a feat in the world. In this instance he has become third in an international event after 11 years. Incidentally he still holds the record for winning the 100 metres with the best timing of 9.58 (2009) and becoming second with a timing of 9.63 (2012) unparalleled by any other.
