Prabhakaran's brother-in-law exposes secrets so far not revealed

* Did Prabhakaran get on well with other children in the school?
Prabhakaran was very silent. He didn't move around with other children very much. Prabhakaran's father was very fiery. Prabhakaran was prohibited from getting out of the house. He was not allowed to even step out of the house
wearing a sarong. Prabhakaran would on most times get out of the house wearing a pair of shorts. We of course used to get on to the road dressed in a sarong.

* What are the subjects that Prabhakaran liked to study most?
There wasn't any special subject like that. Even from small days he liked to read heroic stories. He used to read about heroes who fought in foreign countries and who achieved victory. Prabhakaran had a special desire to watch films of suspense and films that showed fights. My elder brother of course was Prabhakaran's friend no. Prabhakaran came for a birthday of my elder brother. He had brought a gift. It was a book which contained the life story of Subash Chandra Bose that Prabhakaran gifted. I can very well remember that Prabhakaran had signed on that book saying that it was from Prabhakaran.

* What happened to the education activities of Prabhakaran after that?
Prabhakaran didn't continue his studies well. To sit for the Ordinary Level Prabhakaran bade goodbye to Velwetithurai Sidambaram Vidyalaya and went to Vavuniya Madya Maha Vidyalaya. At that time Prabhakaran's father was working as the Land Officer of Vavuniya District. Even there Prabhakaran didn't follow his studies properly. Prabhakaran's father was heartbroken about that. Before sitting for the Ordinary Level Exam Prabhakaran bade goodbye to school education. After that he began to form a clique. He made links with Tamil political parties.

* Did Prabhakaran have any love affairs?
No. Though some girls showed an interest in Prabhakaran, Prabhakaran of course didn't have any interest at all for them in return.

* What did Prabhakaran do after schooling days?
He hid in the jungle. He made up small cliques together and was engaged in various robberies (things like looting). It was with the motive of getting money that Prabhakaran did those things. At the beginning of the that Century Prabhakaran got together with the TELO Organisation and went for many kinds of robberies. One of the incidents was the robbery of the People's Bank. In 1981 Prabhakaran had given an interview to a weekend newspaper and had revealed a host of incidents linked to his childhood in relation to Prabhakaran's well-known Tiger leader M.K. Sivajilingam. At that point what he says is that before forming the Tiger Movement he had engaged in a number of tasks against the law and that he was a successful looter. He had also revealed that several brothers and sisters of his were that time living in various parts of the world. (That discussion from below).

* What sort of connection did you have with the leader of the Tiger Movement, Velupillai Prabhakaran?

Both of us knew each other well from our small days. Very good friends. Prabhakaran and my elder brother studied in the same class. The gap between our houses was not even 100 metres. At the same time we were close relations.

* What's the relationship you have with Prabhakaran?

It was a two-sided relationship. One of my uncles was married to an elder sister born in the same womb as Prabhakaran was born. Another uncle married Prabhakaran's aunt. Prabhakaran and I call each other 'massina'.

* How was Prabhakaran's childhood spent?
Prabhakaran first of all attended Mahajana College in Batticaloa. Becaose Prabhakaran's father was a civil servant Prabhakaran had to accompany him to all locations where he went. Later Prabhakaran came to study at Sivagnana Vidyalaya in Velwetithurai, at the very same school I studied.

* What were the sports he did during schooldays? Do you remember the games he played?
My elder brother is Indralingam. Because Prabhakaran was in the same class, they played together in school. I also went to see them play. Sometimes I also have played. Most of the time it was football that they played. But what Prabhakaran liked best was to aim at birds with the catapult. He would hide the catapult in school and at interval time he would take it and shoot birds.

We were small children. He would tell us to pick stones and give him. So we used to pick and give him. On and off he would give a chance for some other children to shoot birds with the catapult. After school, when playing in the evening he would shoot birds with a shot-gun and a small toy pistol.
