Yoshitha’s light aircraft to be exhibited to public from tomorrow at Ratmalana
The light aircraft originally designed by late
professor Ray Wijewardena had been presented to film producer Chandran Ratnam and later gifted to former president’s son Yoshitha Rajapaksa which created somewhat of an uproar in the country would be displayed at the Ratmalana Air Force museum for the public.
After the new President was appointed this light aircraft was found in somewhat in a damaged state. The courts have ordered the light aircraft be handed over to the family of late Ray Wijewardena. However the family members had donated it to the Sri Lankan Air force.
It is reported that after it was modernised has been sent to Ratmalana Air force museum to be displayed to the public from the 04th instant.
