Expulsion of Tissa Attanayake from UNP illegal-Supreme Court

The former General Secretary of the United

National Party, Member of Parliament Tissa Attanayake had filed action against the United National party against his expulsion from the party at the Supreme Court.

He was expelled from the UNP when he crossed over to the UPFA before the presidential election. When the case was taken up by the Supreme Court they have proved the action of the UNP as illegal as they have failed to follow a certain procedure before he was expelled. This verdict had been delivered today the 05th instant.
