President explains his "file concept"

The President has recently said that those who leave should be careful and that he is in possession of the files. Because of that statement it had created a risky atmosphere bring on fear among those in the political field during the past few days.


Though this situation was analysed by some politicians as a strategical statement issued with the motive of keeping back certain politicians within the party, the President explained that this was a misunderstanding. He explained this when he met newspaper editors at a discussion today at Araliyagaha Mandiraya. What he said was that what he meant by'files' was cabinet papers.
