Was it Ranjan Ramanayaka who spoke to Vaada Pitiya as Matara Sunil?

Today's national newspapers carry a description to the effect that it is Mr. Ranjan Ramanayaka the UNP parliamentarian who gave a call to Minister of Sports, Mahindananda Aluthgamage calling him a 'loka horek' by appearing under the name of Matara Sunil during the Live programme broadcast of Vaada Pitiya relayed over Derana Rupavahini channel
day-before-yesterday (3) night.

Today's national newspapers carry news about this. This is how Rivira newspaper has described it: "Information has now been uncovered that Mr. Ranjan Ramanayaka has used his private mobile phone 0712781811 and spoken to Derana Channel on 0115337262 at about 11.30 in the night by changing his voice in a manner which embarassed Minister Mahindananda.

That the above-mentioned mobile phone is specifically Mr. Ranjan Ramanayaka's and that its owner lives in Madiwela, Parliament Housing Complex, House No. 4, the information mentions.

Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage who flew into a rage over the statement made by Mr. Ranjan Ramanayaka for having tried to sling mud at him and for having made this connection with the Live telecast of Derana Channel by posing under the name of Matara Sunil ultimately spoke ill of the Channel for not preventing this attempt of slinging mud at him.

The Minister who left the studio after the accusation saying that in future, as a government it will not have any dealings with this channel had gone that night around 12.30 to Mirihana Police Station had lodged a complaint about this and police investigations are underway.

Apart from this, further information is received that last morning (4) Minister Aluthgamage has requested that an investigation be carried out on the complaint on the allegations made over the insults conveyed over the phone which seriously damaged his reputation as a responsible Minister. The request was made from the CID and it is understood that inquiries are underway over this issue.

Whatever it is, details over the afore-mentioned information has still not been confirmed by police.
