Sri Lankan wife charged with murder of doctor-husband in Australia

Sri Lankan doctor-wife resident in Australia ....murdered her doctor-husband?

A Sri Lankan doctor, Dinendra Atukorala, 34 years of age, resident in Australia has been murdered last Tuesday in that country.


The dead boy of the doctor was found lying within his house in the town of Geradlton in West Australia. According to investigations carried out by the police it is suspected that this murder had been committed by his Sri Lankan wife who herself is a doctor, over an issue that took place within the house.

Dr. Dinendra Atukorala had been attached to Geraldton Hospital in Australia as a Resident Physician from about an year back while his wife too , 34 year old Chamari Rasika Liyanage suspected of murder has been in service as a doctor.

The doctor who was admitted to hospital with cut injuries when he was found lying in his home on 24th June had already passed away at the time he was admitted to hospital.

Evidence received on questioning the neighbours, they testify that there were constant quarrels between the deceased and his wife.

It was only then that Dr. Chamari Rasika Liyanage was suspected of murdering her husband.
