Sanath Jaasuriya undergoes heart-surgery

By-pass surgery for .... Sanath Jayasuriya

News is received from a private hospital in Colombo that a by-pass surgery has been performed on popular cricketer and Deputy Minister, Sanath Jayasuriya.
Sanath who had been involved in development activities in Matara, Weligama area and a number of opening ceremonies had been advised to undergo this surgery quite suddenly.

After deciding that the surgery should be performed on a health condition he had faced, the doctors have prepared all necessary procedures to perform the operation within the space of a few hours.

As such, he was admitted to hospital  yesterday and the operation has been successfully performed and doctors say that his condition is satisfactory.

By this time, several parliamentarians as well as dignitaries have visited the hospital to inquire about his condition.
