Chandana's Dancing Troupe meets with accident

Dance troupe of Chandana Wickramasingha in hospital ..... because of accident

Five young girls and the driver of the van which collided with a bus at Walakadayawa Junction in Mawanella along the Colombo - Kandy main road last morning and as a result, all occupants inside the vehicle have been hospitalised.


Those hospitalised in this case are 5 female dance artistes of the dancing troupe of popular dance artiste Chandana Wickramasingha and the driver of the van.

All casualties have been admitted to Mawanella Base Hospital while 3 dancers have been sent to Kegalle General Hospital while the driver of the van has been transferred to Kandy General Hospital for further treatment.

It is learned that this accident has taken place because the driver of the van transporting the dancers had fallen asleep at the wheel; they had been travelling to perform at a display to be held in Kandy District.
