DOCTOR INDICTED FOR ALLEGED SEXAUL ABUSE

A pregnant lady admitted to the Sri Jayewardenapura hospital charged for abuse Legal action filed

A case has been filed at Colombo magistrate courts against a doctor who had tried to sexually abuse an attractive pregnant woman warded at the Sri Jayewardenapura hospital
This doctor had taken this young attractive pregnant lady to a room early morning in the pretext of investigating her had very shrewdly abused her sexually. She had been on the verge of delivering the baby and had later related the story to her husband who had lodged a complaint at the Police Child and women protection authority.
An investigation in this had been carried out. The doctor had been found to be guilty of the offence. In terms of laws related to abuse of women’s Act Nos 345 and 365 the case was sent to Attorney General’s department A case was filed at the Colombo magistrate courts.  This  incident had occurred during the month of September 2009 and the case was filed only last week. The doctor Vishan Jayashantha Paranamana 34 years old had made this deed purely to gain sexual satisfaction
