Gang rapists who have raped a woman at Wijerama Junction have been caught

A woman has been raped by a gang of five people last night (23rd) near a supermarket in Wijerama Junction, Nugegoda. A 45 year old woman who has been going back home after shopping has faced this unfortunate incident.  She has told the police that a gang of boys have walked towards her and told her that they want to talk to her. Then, they have forced her into a corner of a by lane.

They have threatened her that they will kill her if she shouts asking for help. She has told the police that she has been raped by five people. All these suspects have been arrested by Mirihana Police. Mirihana Police has got the message from a neighbor who had called Police emergency on 119. Police have reached there while they have been raping her and the rapists who have tried to make an escape by running away but have been caught by the Police and arrested. Further action regarding this case is to be taken in the future.
