Premier show of the film held in Colombo
Siddhartha Gauthama film was launched yesterday (the 24th) in Colombo which is basically based on the significant events of the life of Gauthama Buddha highlighting the important events from the birth to the enlightenment. President Mahinda Rajapaksa was the Chief Guest at the launch. North Indian actor Gagan Malith had portrayed the role as Siddhartha and the Indian actress Anchal Singh had portrayed the role of Princess Yashodhara. The following artists are portrayed respective roles such as Ranjan Ramanayake as King Suddhodhana, Roshan Ranawaka as Prince Nanda, Saranga Disasekara as Minister Channa, Jeewan Kumaratunga as King Bimbisara.
Attorney- at- Law Saman Weeraman has directed the film.
