The prices of Gas, Milk powder and Cement will go up from 12 mid night today:
Minister Johnston Fernando announced a little while ago that the prices of gas and milk price will be raised with effect from midnight today. Accordingly the price of milk powder (except children’s milk powder) will go up from Rs 65/- and the price of a packet of 1kg milk powder hereafter will be Rs 810/-. He also stated that the price of children’s milk powder will be decided on the next week. At the same time the price of cement had gone up by Rs.70/-.
Signs of milk powder and gas not been available at the outlets/shops in the evening:

Consumers have made complaints against many shops which had been hiding milk powder and gas saying that the stocks are over. Thus it is reported that the consumers have faced many difficulties as the announcement had been made earlier.
