Luxury buses to ply on the new HighwayWith effect from 1st January 2012 permission has been given for two luxury private buses to ply from Kottawa terminus to Galle. The two buses are from two reputed bus companies.One from Galle and the other from Anuradhapura.
The drivers of these buses had been given a thorough training on how to drive on the new highway yesterday at kottawa. Each ticket will cost a sum of Rs 400/- from Kottawa to Galle.
Fully air conditioned luxury buses will consist of 42 seats. If these luxury buses exceed 100 KMP a warning signal would be automatically sounded, to reduce the speed. Shown below are two photographs’ of these two buses.
