Does not be afraid, Advanced level results would be released on Monday: S.B. discloses to the media:
But the Department of Examinations says it cannot be released:

As the Department of Examinations has made a mess of the “Z’ score, the results of the Advanced level is bound to be delayed. However in contrast the Higher Education Minister S.B. Dissanayake had told the media that all conflicts have been resolved and by Monday the results could be released. However just after one hour after S.B.’s confession the authorities of the Department of Examination announced that it would take at least one week to release the results. It was initially planned to release the results in two categories having classifying the two ‘Z’ score results as advised by the University Grants Commission.
This was the cause in the delay of releasing the results. The delay was caused as no proper decision was arrived at in regard to the the admission of students to the universities. The admission of students to private universities was also delayed due to this reason. Those who expect to be admitted to universities overseas also cannot take a decision until the results are announced. They too are in a puzzle right now owing to this delay. The results would be release after the admission criteria is resolved. Those who sat for two examinations would be admitted accordingly without any discrimination is the other responsibility that need to be shouldered.
Without taking into consideration the above facts Minister of Higher Education regardlessly has announced that the results would be released on Monday.

    good . Results might be out on Monday (19th). may be on seperate z scores. if every thing is resolved may be otherway around. results could be on the website awiting cut off levels.

    Bench of experts in the field of statistics have recommended a common z score. Honorable Minister of higher education has made a statement after considering all those endorsements. Statements in the parliament seem to have made after taking into consideration of all the above facts.

    At the end Z score values for each set of examination papers remains the same. Now they say they have received Z score values for two examinations separately, that is the exact Z score. There is no way of getting another Z value by using another method. Finally Z score values obtained for two examinations remains same on the common list. Z score in statistics is standard score. Z score cannot be altered. Statement made in the parliament recommend a common z score.

    Thank you Mr. A . Edirisinhe and officials of the examinations department for finalizing results. Large numbers of candidates have sat for the examinations. Look like everything has now completed.
