Doctor’s Murder at KarandeniyaTo punish the murderer’s villages throng the streets
When the murderer’s was made known to the villages of Karandeniya of Doctor Jayasinghe’s shooting, it is reported that several groups had flocked in groups and created havoc.
One of the most prominent places was at Borakanda where the suspect’s medical laboratory and the dispensary were housed. It is reported that the villages in anger had flocked together and set ablaze the medical laboratory and the dispensary. It is also learnt that the quarters of nurses housed adjoining to these buildings too had got burnt. The Police had failed to bring the angry crowd under control. The situation had been brought under control when the Special Task Force personnel were summoned.
