M.P. Duminda Silva who is under treatment in the Intensive care Unit at the Sri Jayewardenapura Hospital after the brain operation is reported to leave hospital tomorrow. These are still unconfirmed reports.

CID OFFICER WHO WENT TO TAKE STATEMENTS HAS COME BACK EMPTY

To obtain a statement from Duminda Siva warded in the ICU at the Sri Jayewardenapura hospital in regard to the slaying of Bharatha, CID Officer Meril Ranjan Lamahewa has been requested by courts. After obtaining   permission from the hospital authorities he had gone to the ICU to take a statement from Duminda Silva. What he quipped to the Judge is that he had seen him lying in a bed with his head heavily bandaged. It has been reported to courts by the CID Officer Lamahewa that he was in such a state that prevented him from taking a statement owing to his health condition.
Yesterday for the first time President Mahinda Rajapaksa had visited the Sri Jayewardenapura Hospital after the slaying of Bharatha.
