Mysterious object in Puttalam sky

An extremely bright unidentified object rapidly moved across the sky in the Puttalam city and surrounding areas yesterday morning, causing severe unrest among the residents. A large number of people came out of their homes to witness this unusual sight, and several who saw the incident even took photographs with their mobile phones.

According to residents, this mysterious object, several feet in length, had a fiery tail with fireballs, similar to a rocket or missile. Moving at a very high speed, faster than a normal aircraft, and at an altitude of about 300 feet in the sky, the object later moved towards the distant sky above the Puttalam lagoon and disappeared.

Due to this sudden situation, some residents even ran to safe places and hid, fearing that some danger might occur. Although various opinions regarding the nature of this unidentified object were circulating among the public, no official evidence has yet been revealed to confirm any of them. For this reason, residents hope that the relevant authorities will intervene and provide a proper scientific explanation regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, commenting on the incident, Professor Chandana Jayaratne stated that there is a high probability that it was a meteor. He pointed out that such meteors can be seen at night or dawn at any time of the year, and that its appearance with a fiery tail led to this conclusion. However, the professor further emphasized that a comprehensive study should be conducted in the future to make a definitive statement on this matter.
