Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong, stated that despite the ongoing crisis in the Middle East region, there will be no fuel shortage in Sri Lanka, and China guarantees to ensure a continuous fuel supply. He emphasized that even amidst such global uncertainties, China will continue to provide unwavering support to Sri Lanka.
The Ambassador made these remarks while speaking to the media after participating in a program to distribute dry rations to 350 low-income families at Sri Chandrananda Buddhist College in Kandy.
Due to the current military situation in the Middle East, many countries worldwide have faced various supply disruptions. However, the Ambassador pointed out that Sri Lanka would be able to maintain a stable fuel supply. He further stated that China is ready to assist Sri Lanka at any time it is needed.
He also stated that if any difficulties arise in fuel supply, China would provide the necessary support through 'Sinopec', a Chinese energy company, to ensure the continuous distribution of fuel.
Reaffirming the long-standing bilateral relations between the two countries, the Ambassador emphasized that China would continue to provide its support for Sri Lanka's economic stability and development process.
