American actress Jennifer Runyon, who won the hearts of fans through creations like the popular Hollywood film 'Ghostbusters' and 'Up the Creek', has passed away at the age of 65. Her passing on Friday night (March 6) was officially confirmed by a post on her official Facebook account on Sunday.




Although the exact cause of her death was not specified in the Facebook post, it stated that she took her last breath surrounded by family members and that it was the end of an extremely difficult journey. However, her close friend and actress from the TV series 'Bewitched', Erin Murphy, stated that Jennifer had been battling cancer. Expressing deep sorrow over her friend's passing, Erin further mentioned that Jennifer was a very special woman who made one feel friendly even before meeting her.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Jennifer began her acting career in 1980 with the film 'To All a Goodnight'. She then contributed to several television productions such as 'Another World' and 'Charles in Charge'. A significant and memorable milestone in her acting career was her portrayal of the student in the ESP test scene in the 1984 film 'Ghostbusters'. Additionally, she lent her acting talent to the role of Cindy Brady in the 1988 telefilm 'A Very Brady Christmas', as well as to films like 'Up the Creek' in 1984 and '18 Again!' in 1988.
