A young woman of Sri Lankan origin has been elected as the Deputy Mayor of Pontault-Combault, a town in the north-central region of France. According to foreign media reports, the young woman appointed to the position is twenty-five-year-old Adithya Anandarasa, who hails from a family that migrated to France from the Kayts area of Jaffna.
She managed to achieve a remarkable and excellent victory in the recently concluded municipal council elections.Adithya, who enjoys high popularity among the people of Pontault-Combault, entered the political arena at the young age of nineteen. During that period, she was skilled enough to be elected as a councilor of the respective municipal council. Her continuous and enthusiastic involvement in community affairs in her town has been a strong support for her political journey.
