Winners at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony concluded grandly recently, bringing many massive changes to the music world. This marked the first time in over a decade that the event was held without a major clash between superstars like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, or Adele, making it a historic occasion.

This night was particularly special for Kendrick Lamar, who won five awards, including Record of the Year, from his nine nominations, becoming the most awarded rapper in Grammy history.




Bad Bunny, who is set to be the headliner for next week's Super Bowl halftime show, secured three awards, including Album of the Year. Billie Eilish and Finneas set a new record by winning Song of the Year for the third time, and the song "Golden" from the film "KPop Demon Hunters" winning Best Song Written for Visual Media marked K-pop music's first Grammy victory.

This year's awards were presented across 95 categories, based on works released from August 31, 2024, to August 30, 2025. Olivia Dean was chosen as Best New Artist, and in her acceptance speech, she emotionally stated that she came to this stage as the granddaughter of an immigrant. In the Pop category, Lady Gaga won Best Pop Vocal Album for "Mayhem" and Best Dance Pop Recording for "Abracadabra."




In the Rock and Alternative categories, The Cure stood out, winning both Best Alternative Music Performance and Best Album. In the R&B category, Kehlani and Leon Thomas took prominent positions, with Leon Thomas's mother accepting his first award on his behalf, which was a special moment. Kendrick Lamar dominated the Rap category, and his album "GNX" was recognized as the Best Rap Album of the Year.

The powerhouse of Latin music, Bad Bunny, won Album of the Year and Best Música Urbana Album for his album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos." In the Global Music category, Tyla won Best African Music Performance, and "Meditations," featuring teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, was awarded Best Audio Book and Spoken Word Recording. Among creations related to cinema, Ludwig Göransson won Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for the film "Sinners."



In the Classical Music field, several works conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and Andris Nelsons received awards, and Yo-Yo Ma won Best Classical Instrumental Solo. In the Visual Arts and Packaging categories, Bruce Springsteen's works were recognized, and a documentary about John Williams was chosen as Best Music Film. Overall, the 68th Grammy Awards ceremony concluded as a night of diversity, equally open to both newcomers and veterans.
