No noise, no traffic - Court order for Wimal's Satyagraha

A continuous Satyagraha (protest) was commenced this morning (12) in front of the Ministry of Education, Isurupaya, Battaramulla, under the leadership of Mr. Wimal Weerawansa, leader of the National Freedom Front, and with the participation of several civil society representatives. However, taking this protest movement into consideration, the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court has taken steps to issue a special order related to it.

Through the relevant court order, the protestors have been informed to refrain from obstructing the road in a manner that obstructs the general public. Furthermore, since the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination is being held these days, the court has also ordered that they should act without using loudspeakers, so as not to cause any hindrance to it.
