Thisara Perera too follows on Chandimal's footsteps by joining the army

Thisara Perera who was a former captain of the Sri Lanka cricket team and an alrounder has joined the volunteer force of the Sri Lanka army. He has thus joined the army cricket team and has been admitted to the position of major in the army. 

Thisara has joined the army on invitation of army lieutenant Mr. Shavendra Silva and has been
affiliated to the Gajaba regiment. Thisara has participated in his first game yesterday representing the army. This has been confirmed by him in his Twitter account.  Another former captain of the Sri Lanka cricket team,Dinesh Chandimal too has joined the army cricket team and he too has been affiliated to the position of major.
