Sudarman who brought Maithri - Chamila love episode to TV ... expelled!

The government has decided to banish Mr. Sudarman Raddaliyagoda from the position of general manager of Independent Television which appointment was showered on him recently under the new regime. There is information to say that after taking into consideration criticisms launched during the few days about him being reappointed, he was dismissed on orders of the president.

The aforesaid dismissal was carried out on a written notification by secretary of information and mass
media technology under instructions of Presidential secretariat. Secretary to the ministry, W.A. Chulananda Perera had informed ITN chairman in writing last morning (31) to remove Sudarman Raddeliyagoda who has been appointed as deputy general manager (news and topical incidents) from that position with immediate effect and to notify the secretary of president.

Sudarman Raddeliyagoda who assumed duties as the deputy general manager of independent television networks (ITN) as chef of news and current affairs last December 27th was subjected to much discussion during Mahinda Rajapaksa's presidential period in connection with scrap iron deal and not being taken into custody in that respect and being involved in cordial relationships with deputy inspector general's of police at that time caused an uproar.

He assumed a tarnished image as chief of news and current affairs at independent television networks as someone who was involved in 'mud politics' and as a consequence gave way to a fiction on the TV screen by holding interviews with Chamila's husband and children portraying a situation where a family crashed as a result of an illicit affair. The topic was this illicit involvement that presidential candidate Maithripala Sirisena has had with one Chamila during 2015 presidential period.
