Person who struck dog while walking on the road ...  killed at the hands of houseowner! 

A dog in a neighbouring house has tried to bite a person walking along the road and at that moment a verbal clash that had occured between this person and the resident which had gone beyond limits ended up with the person walking on the road losing his life. 

The deceased is a father of one child and L. Ariyavansha living in Kendegollawaththa, Polgahawela. He with his wife and daughter had been to a house of a friend and while returning this incident has
taken place. At the time the dog has approached to bite, he had taken a stone into his hands and tried to chase it away when two young men in the said house had reprimanded him. The conflict has gone too far and the two youth have started hammering this person with hands and clubs. The victim who sustained serious injury as a result was admitted to Polgahawela hospital and next to Kurunegala hospital after which he has passed away. 

Polgahawela police have taken into custody on suspicion two young men from Puhuriya, Koswaththa, Polgahawela. One of them happens to be a an army soldier, it is said. The suspects after being produced before Polgahawela magistrate Mrs. Nelum Priyadarshani was ordered to be remanded.
