ICC get ready for World Test Championships

The World Test Championship organised for the first time by international cricket council (ICC) on August first. The official launch of the event took place yesterday (29). 

This tournament with nine countries played under 27 tournaments with a tournament of 72 games would be in action throughout the year 2021 and is a speciality in that respect. After 71 matches are
to be played according to a league system in the first round the big match is scheduled to be held in the month of June, 2021 and it will be payed at Lords playground in London. The composition of the tournament would be played as another combination of a further 27 sub-tournaments. The tournament will commence day after tomorrow (1) between England and Australia to commensurate with the 'Ashes' tournament. 

India, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the West Indies and Bangladesh teams who are in the forefront in Test grading will be participating in this instance. When considering the composition of this overall Test World Tournament is composed of two tournaments of five matches, two tournaments played with four matches, 16 tournaments comprising of seven tournaments of two matches each. The majority of games are for England, Australia and India and it is respectively as 22, 19 and 18. 

Apart from the above, 16 go to South Africa and 15 to the West Indies. Other than that, New Zealand and Bangladesh have acquired 14 each. The least number of matches allotted to Sri Lanka is 13 in number. When talking about the methodology of granting runs, in the case of a tournament of two matches, according to the bonus points methodology, 60 such points have to be secured while 30 points in the case of tallying is given and 20 points in the instance of a match being over without a result. 

In the case of a tournament of three matches, 40 bonus points, if totals tally, it will be 20 bonus points and in the instance of a match ending without a decision, 13 bonus points would be awarded. For victory of a tournament of four matches, 30 bonus points; when totals tally, 15 bonus points and in the case of a match ending without a decision, 10 bonus points would be awarded. 

In a tournament of five matches, it will be 24 bonus points; when totals tally, it will be 1 bonus points and in the case of a match ending without a decision, 8 bonus points would be awarded. No bonus points would be awarded for a tournament which records a defeat. 

The plan for this tournament is as follows:- This tournament is held after two tournaments being unsuccessful. The initial proposal to conduct this tournament was launched in the year 2010 while the tournament was scheduled to be held in the year 2013. In any case, after it was invalidated, the tournament was expected to be held once again in the year 2017. However that too being suspended, it was decided to be launched this year.
