It is a Sri Lankan employed in Italy who has sent items as in eBay. This subtle information about this racket has come to light when n a female and two others were arrested under suspicion in Kochchikade, Negombo day before (28) night with 600 grammes of hashis in their possession, sent hidden in two microwave ovens and a television set.
A female and two males who came to get a television and two microwave ovens were thus taken into custody with those equipment. It was reported that two small packets of 100 grammes each were neatly packed inside the television and 4 similar parcels were found inside the two microwave ovens as well. It was revealed that this equipment within which these narcotics were concealed were to be dispatched to a businessman living in Negombo when the suspects were interrogated. Police have also taken into custody five mobile phones in possession of the female and other suspects.
It was also revealed that the Sri Lanka in Italy has been sending hashis hidden in various equipment twice a month. Police are on the look out to nab a wealthy businessman living in Negombo who is supposed to be behind this racket.
