Ranil takes his oaths -- media out of bounds for media coverage
Mr. Ranil Wickremasingha has taken his oaths at Presidential Secretariat as the new Prime Minister at the auspicious time at 11.16 this morning.
General Secretary of the party, parliamentary member Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has said that only four seniors of the UNP has attended this occasion. Though the swearing in ceremony has taken place

However, it is believed that photos of the relevant occasion will be released later by the President's Media division. There is a rumour that this media was not permitted because of the statement made previously by President that "I will never give Prime Minister post to Ranil Wickremasingha. If not so, I will go away" and this ban on the media was effected because of that. In any case we publish some photos captured on that occasion.
