What was depicted by a video which happened to circulate these days was a toddler being fed liquor during the course of a party and its video. Police investigations have been launched in relation to this type of video being released to the internet where voices of those uttering lewd words in an intoxicated tone are heard in the background and subsequently a certain person in 113 Galgamuwa area in Galgamuwa provincial secretariat area has been apprehended as suspect in this
regard. 

The said person had admitted that he made the child drink beer as liquor and that this particular incident has taken place on the evening of last 14th. The 13 month old child who was made to drink beer was sent to Anuradhapura hospital for a medical examination. It is the opinion of lawyers that this type of act could be considered as child abuse. The suspect is to be produced before courts.
