According to latest reports published in connection with Indian actress Sri Devi who passed away, it is understood that she had become terribly depressed over an issue involving her daughter and had thus put an end to her life.

After the first marriage that took place between

Sri Devi and Mithun Chakraborthi in the 1980s decade, they were blessed with a baby boy and he is supposed to be now in his youth. Sri Devi has been thoroughly distressed over a love affair that has been going on between Sri Devi's daughter Janwi, born from the second marriage and this person who actually is Janwi's cousin brother, has gone to the extent of Sri Devi exceeding her drinking limits.

After Mithun - Sri Devi marriage went on the rocks, the said baby boy born to them became the custody of Mithun and by now he is a popular businessman in Mumbai by the name of Mahakshe Chakraborthi. Sri Devi has suffered terrible mental pressure because of this romance that her daughter Janwi has struck up with Mahakshe who happens to be a brother by relationship and it is understood that in order to get over that pressure Sri Devi had got gradually addicted to liquor. There had been cordial relationships between Janwi and Mithun's son Mahakshe Chakraorthi even from schooldays; later the friendship has gone as far as a romance, it was reported. When these things were noted by Sri Devi she had advised daughter Janwi about it. At that point the relationship among Sri Devi, Janwi and Mahakshe Chakraborthi was explained and arguments had taken place.

It is learned that the two of them continuing their alliance non-stop made Sri Devi suffer serious heartaches. Sri Devi who became mentally depressed from the love affair Janwi Kapoor had with Mahakshe ultimately led her to drink excessively and drown herself to death as suspected by published media. On the basis that certain matters expressed by husband Boney Kapoor in relation to his wife's death being contradictory, it is stated that thereby an attempt has been taken to avoid an issue like this becoming public.
