Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil taste black coffee at Rajitha's home last night

A face to face confrontation has taken place between President Mr. Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Mr. Ranil Wickremasingha last night (29) and it was at Minister of Health Mr. Rajitha Senaratna's official residence.

The said discussion centred on facing the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Mr. Ranil

Wickremasingha in the context of a United Government. Further, after the proposal of the no-confidence, it was discussed how to carry on duties with both parties in unison in the form of a united government with other topics too being involved in the discussions. As such, it appears that the no-confidence motion is to receive no support from the SLFP as such.

The discussions proceeded for over a period of over 4 hours and had concluded only around 11.30 in the night. Incidentally, both party leaders were treated to a dinner by the Health Minister and it is of special interest to record that black coffee which happens to be a special preference of the premier was prepared by Mrs. Sujatha Senaratna herself.
