Ranjan the only Member of Cope committee comprising of 26 who refrained from signing the report of the Central Bank bond scandal

The report of the final Cope committee report where it is alleged and claimed that the former Central Bank governor Arjun Mahendran should be held responsible had been signed by 25 members of the Cope committee sans Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake.

However for the two parts 16 members had signed while 09 members had signed with foot notes. This was revealed by the Chairman of the Cope committee Member of Parliament Sunil Hadunnetti. The
Member of Parliament had  later attempted to disclose why he had to leave the Committee the other day.Although Sunil Hadunnetti had tried to ex-plain the reasons the deputy Speaker had not allowed him to do so.

A significant fact that was revealed and emphasized that for both  reports the Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake had not placed his signature who is incidentally also a member of the committee..The deputy Speaker had said that that as all have agreed to this report it is not necessary to provoke internal conflicts now. Saying so the deputy Speaker had slipped away from it.The Minister Rauff Hakeem who is a member of the Cope committee had said that although the views of members are different it is not the tradition to include them in the final report. Hence the Member of Parliament Sunil Hadunnetti had skipped that part when speaking.

It is reported that when Sunil Handunnetti walked out of the committee meeting the other day Ranjan Ramanayake had not been present and today in Parliament also he had not been present. Sunil Handunnetti had added that Ranjan Ramanayake had been overseas and on his return yesterday had spoken to him.
