Two police officers at Pussellawa police station interdicted as a suspect in lock-up had committed suicide

It is reported  that a suspect who had been placed in the lock up cell in the Pussellawa police station had committed suicide by hanging inside the cell itself.In this regard the related higher authorities in the police

had interdicted the two  police officers in charge of the police cell.

The suspect who had committed suicide in this manner is 30 year old Raviraj Kavichandran.This person had been arrested following a court order yesterday afternoon. It has been reported that subsequently he had committed suicide by hanging himself inside the  police cell in the night.

The cause of death has not been determined as yet..The postmortem  is been conducted to ascertain same.The related authorities at the police headquarters had decided to interdict the two officers for neglect of duties entrusted to them.
