St. Joseph's poster asking women entering the school to dress with hands and legs covered.

A poster pasted in front of St. Joseph's College, Colombo recommending that ladies who gain entry to school premises should be dressed in a particular manner was subjected to debate. A photograph of the said poster is seen here.
Though dressed in the traditional sari and dress covering the arms is in order, dresses of short skirts and those that expose the legs have been considered as belonging to the 'unsuitable' category of dresses and mode of attire. If photos of this nature are not displayed, most schools in Sri Lanka would tend to operate similar rules for ladies entering schools. This photograph, from below
