Likelihood of the 15% VAT coming back

It is reported that owing to presentation with shortcomings the VAT component  that was reduced to 11 per cent on the instructions of a court order, the draft resolution has been passed by the cabinet

for  15% VAT  with amendments .

According to the Minister of Finance this draft resolution passed by the cabinet is to be produced to the House for approval..Owing to protests made although  the amended VAT draft resolution was to have been placed before the cabinet it had been postponed due to protests.In fact the Minister had been forced to prepare several amended proposals.

The officials of the Ministry of Finance have added that the conflict on the 15% on wholesale and retail prices had now been resolved  bringing about a solution.
