Agitated Elephant  running amok causes one death and injure 11

In the last Randoli perahera of the Ratnapura Sabaragamuwa Saman devalaya an Elephant had run amok had caused a heart attack to a  60 year old lady who had later succumbed in hospital.Eleven others had been injured and
admitted to the Ratnapura hospital for treatment.

It is reported that a Elephant who had was to parade the street in the  Randoli perahera procession had got agitated and run amok before the commencement of the perahera.

The deceased is a  60 year old woman a resident of Kiriella, Udakiella area.It is reported that for her death this Elephant running amok has not been the cause. During this stampede 11 persons had been injured and admitted to the Ratnapura hospital for treatment and none are seriously injured it is reported.
