VAT removed completely from all private hospital bill payments

The related authorities of the department of Inland Revenue issuing a notice has  ordered all private hospitals to remove the VAT component that was hitherto charged for hospital bills and doctors fees.In this regard the general public would not be charged the 15% VAT component gazetted from the 02nd May or the 11% VAT component charged previously.

In the notice issued it has been stated that  the general public should report if any private hospital  adds  the VAT component to their hospital bills and for channeling fees.
