The strike in hospitals causes chaos to patients

Doctors say the four hour strike was a success

The four hour token strike by the doctors and other medical staff, nurses and minor staff from 8 am to 12 pm on the 04th instant  had made a terrible inconvenience to all patients who visited the

hospitals.

This token strike was launched in protest against the private medical College in Malabe , to revoke this  medical College and to draw attention to six demands the unions have been put forward. It is reported that Island wide this strike action had been launched and had been successful.

Owing to the token strike that lasted for four hours the OPD treatments, clinics and other activities had come to a standstill. All patients who visited government hospitals island wide have been affected badly.
