At a ceremony of laying the foundation stone for a proposed  three storey building by the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa at

Balangoda,Mahawelatenna, Sri Chandrasekera Mudalindarama Buddhist temple ,addressing the gathering had this to say:

“When this government fails to achieve something what they remember is the name Rajapaksa.They criticize me saying “Maha Rajano”.This name has been made by the former the former Minister of health  the present president Maithripala Sirisena.But it is not name that that was made by him.”
