Dr Indrajit Coomaraswamy handed  over letter of appointment - Bandula,Dinesh delighted

With the cessation of the period of the Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran the newly appointed Governor Dr Indrajit Coomaraswamy received the letter of appointment from the President Maithripala Sirisena on the 04th instant.

At this occasion the deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Nandalal Weerasinghe who
was also tipped to become the new Governor as speculated in many quarters and by many was also present.

The Members of Parliament in the so called joint opposition Bandula Gunawardena and Dinesh Gunawardena who were critical of the former Governor Arjun Mahendran were delighted and expressed their contentment over the appointment. The duo had pledged that the trust on the people would get strengthened with this new appointment.

Bandula Gunawardena had quipped that Dr Indrajit Coomaraswamy is a world famous competent economist and there would be no doubt that his future work  would be discharged  is anticipated to  be performed to precision. Member of Parliament Bandula Gunawardena had added that they have trust on the new Governor appointed and that this change occurred owing to the continuous protests made by the joint opposition.
