Dead body floating in the Kandy lake recovered

A dead body which was floating near the curving area in the Kandy lake beside the Malwathu Temple premises had been recovered with the aid

of the  the Kandy police and the Navy personnel.

Yesterday the 12th instant at around 1 pm in the afternoon the by passers had seen a dead body floating in this area of the Kandy lake and had informed the Kandy police.Thereafter the police with the help of the Navy personnel had recovered the body.

The dead person has not been identified as yet.

The police authorities of the Kandy police have commenced investigations in this regard is reported.
