Scholarship cut-off marks in several schools, reduced ....

because of weird class of Royal's Principal

Information received about conducting a strange class in a clandestine manner for the 6th Grade in that college with the knowledge of former

Principle of Royal College, Colombo was revealed sometime back. Because of this particular class which admitted children of the privileged-class to that college through the back door without the knowledge of the Ministry the Principal had to go home and likewise the 40 children selected for the year 2016 in an improper manner according to the survey carried out, they too were subjected to removal. Whatever it is, the Ministry of Education has made a decision to provide an opportunity for a crowd of other students who have passed the scholarship, without removing this particular class from the college. As such, the cut-off marks released for the scholarship examination of grade 5 last time has dropped to 184 to 183 in Royal College. Therefore, in order to fill that gap, the cut-off marks of several other schools in Colombo too have been reduced respectively. It is as follows:
